RMY OFFICER HELD FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

LT.col.Jagmonan balbir singh was arreste4d by the cyber cell of the grime branch of policehere on Thursday on the charge of uploading sexually explicit images and clips of children on childpornography websites.

Lt.col.singh 42, was produced before a court on Friday and remanded tp police custody till may 12.

Joint commissioner of police crime Himanshu roy told reporters that LT.COL.SINGH WAS CHARGED UNDER SECTION 67 Bof the information act.

‘WE HAD INFORMATION FROM INTERNATIONAL AGENCIES OF THE POSSIBILITY OF A CHILD PORNOGRAPHY suspect in India and in Mumbai.our cyber celll started the investigation and arrested him.on questioning he admittedn to having having committed the offence..He has been doing it for few years.The more serious offence is uploading pornographic images and clips of children on some well known child pornographic sites”he said

GOVERNMENT WILLING TO OFFER 0.35 PER CENT COMMISSION TO BROKERS

IN a bid to ensure greater retail participation in its disinvesment programme, the government has decided to pay a commission to brokers for luring investors to initial public offerings(ipo)of public sector undertakings(psu).

Sastarting with the public issue of satluj jal vidyut nigam LTD(SJVNL),which opens for subscription on thusday,the government has fixed a commission of 0.35 percent for brokers for selling shares to retail investors and 0.15 per cent bringing in HNI clients
